Thank you for your comment. Yes, I sometimes use interactive or open acrylics. I personally like the fast drying time, but some students who are taking my online lessons wanted some further information on blending a sky quickly with regular acrylics. Open acrylics are helpful in blending due to the slower drying times, I have also suggested this in previous videos.
The only thing that I don't like about them, is they can sometimes get a little gummy if you start adding paint over them when they are partially dry. Other than that they are great! Thank you for your comments!
You're a natural at this. There's absolutely no hestitation in your voice, and it tanslates to your brushes. Plus the tone of voice you have would make you a shoe-in for a PBS type art instruction program.....the next Bob Ross (only without the afro)....carry-on Tim, carry-on!!!
I grew up in the small town of Washburn, Maine. I've lived here all of my life, minus one year in New Jersey. Living in the scenic area of Maine gives me a lot of inspiration. If you haven't seen Maine in the fall, put it on your list of things to see. I love to paint, photograph, and draw anything and everything. Abstract, impressionist, realism... I try to paint many ways, and then incorporate them all together. I'm big into sports too... not the most common combination... an artistic jock... but hey it's great to have a part in many different activities. Maybe someday, I'll paint an entire picture with a deflated basketball... Thanks for checking out my blog! I hope you enjoy my artwork.

Have you tried Interactive Acrylics?
