We are surrounded by old barns here in Northern Maine. It seems like a lot of them have fallen in lately, which is pretty sad. I'm guessing that there will only be a few left in my lifetime. A lot of the barns were built in the early 1900s and, have slowly been pulled down by our harsh winters. I always like the barns that have bright colored roofs. A lot of the roofs are green, but occasionally you'll find one with red shingles, or an old red rusted tin roof.
Even though this barn was painted from my imagination, it was inspired by the barns that surround me. Fall is on its way, and I'm sure I'll run across a scene like this one in the coming weeks. Thanks for stopping by!
